Case Study - University of the Nations

The University of the Nations (U of N) is a global institution where approximately 17,500 students a year take courses in over 97 languages at more than 600 locations on all continents. Data Imagery was a lead consulting partner working with university staff to build a new course catalog and student records system in Salesforce.

As a phase two of their Salesforce implementation, the U of N needed to connect Salesforce with their website to display degree requirements, courses and locations online.

  • Website design. Data Imagery created a custom designed website to make it easy for existing and prospective students to browse colleges, degrees, courses and locations.
  • Website development. Data Imagery created a custom WordPress theme based on the design mockups that is fast loading and easy to navigate.
  • Salesforce data model. Data Imagery consulted with university staff to augment the existing data schema to support degree and degree requirements. This data model update was critical to be able to display this data on their new website.
  • Salesforce degree integration. With the degree requirements now in Salesforce, we developed custom queries to display this data within the website. Students can now click on a college, find a degree program and then view course requirements. University staff can easily manage this data within Salesforce, eliminating the need or duplicate data entry on their website. View Degree Page
  • Salesforce course search. With hundreds of courses available, the university wanted a fast and simple way for students to find a course by searching by course type, location, language or college. To give the page a quick, dynamic feel we load course data locally in the background and allow students to change filters on the page for immediate search responsiveness. View Search Page
  • Salesforce location map. In order to visually represent the U of N’s global scope of available locations, Data Imagery built a custom integration that displays this data within a Google Map. This map can be zoomed in to view specific location details and then click to view courses that are available in a particular training base. View Location Page
